Frequently Asked Questions
What is hypnosis?
“Hypnosis, also referred to as hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion, is a trance-like state in which you have heightened focus, concentration and inner absorption. When you’re under hypnosis, you usually feel calm and relaxed, and you can concentrate intensely on a specific thought, memory, feeling or sensation while blocking out distractions.” -Mayo Clinic
Trance is way to communicate directly with the unconscious mind.
Can I be made to do something against my will?
No! “Under hypnosis, you’re more open than usual to suggestions, and this can be used to modify your perceptions, behavior, sensations and emotions. Therapeutic hypnosis is used to improve your health and well-being and is different from so-called stage hypnosis used by entertainers. Although you’re more open to suggestion during therapeutic hypnosis, your free will remains intact and you don’t lose control over your behavior”-Mayo Clinic
When can I expect to see changes?
It depends on the problem. For instance if you wish to lose weight, say twenty pounds you gain during the year. Not too difficult. Maintenance can be an issue and you may need some follow up. Say you wish to lose a hundred pounds and you have been overweight all of your life. This is a more complex problem.
What sort of payment do you take?

Yes, Depending on the situation. Especially if there a problems with mobility.
Will you record the session for me to listen to later?
I record some sessions. Some people have such inquisitive doubting minds that they get in their own way. For these people I prefer to use amnesia. For other people, it is good to have a recording to listen to daily.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes, the client is welcome to bring a friend if that helps them to feel secure.
